About Us
Norwood Community Group was formed in 2006 with the sole intention of serving the people within the community.
As part of our remit we facilitate community projects and training programs that promote employment opportunities.
To achieve this objective we have become affiliated with recognised awarding bodies e.g. BIIAB and MAYBO who accredit and regulate the training opportunities we offer.
We deliver universal and targeted services within Lambeth; our targeted work also involves mentoring & counselling. All our facilitators are fully qualified in their subject specialism.
We are fortunate to have a wealth of expertise and able facilitators within our reach. Years of community involvement on the ground level, has enabled us to tap into the local talent and expertise with in the Lambeth area.
To date we have worked closely with Lambeth Council who has been one of our main sponsors, along with Lambeth Education Business Partnership, the Local Network Fund, the Capital Community Foundation, and the Variety Club, who have all aided us in our growth and we thank all those who have believed in the vision and supported us.
We are affiliated with London Youth a national organisation, recognised within youth and community work circles, and giving us access to valuable additional resources. Whether it is for educational courses, camping and recreational activities, we are able to help support our users.
We are committed to 'Building Bridges in our Communities', and are very open to suggestions and ideas.
